Beautiful Ride

The somewhat self-indulgent rantings about the beautiful ride that is my life!

About My Beautiful Ride March 25, 2010

We all have great stories to tell. We all have opinions to share. We all have questions to ask. I believe this to be true. And this seems like the perfect place to tell my stories, share my opinions, and ask my questions. I’m not sure if anyone will read this, and it’s perfectly ok if it ends up being for my eyes only. I can’t imagine that there are many out there in cyberspace that care to follow the somewhat self-indulgent rantings of a mom, wife, sister, daughter and friend, but you never know! If you’ve stumbled across this blog about the beautiful ride that is my life, welcome aboard. My life is full and busy and funny and messy.  It’s a roller coaster ride of ups and downs, twists and turns, thrills and spills. It’s a crazy ride,  but it’s my ride, and a beautiful one at that!

So often I’ve told myself  to write it down—think how fun it will be to sit on my front porch when I’m old and grey (ok, older and more grey!) and relive the special moments that I’ve recorded here. I look forward to many, many “what was I thinking!” moments!

I just finished reading your profound post “if i had a hammer”. i found it to be moving and insightful, you have made the most beautiful observations using the simplest of words written from the heart. it was a refreshing read in a world where the words written are so often twisted to make a point. it has inspired me to go out and do somethig good…..maybe with my hammer!

    • Thanks Judy–I believe there are so many that really have the best interest of our citizens at heart and there is so much good happening under the radar–groups like this that are getting the job done without the noise and the attention-getting tactics that so many use today. I’m so proud to support organizations like this and I’m happy to pick up my hammer and join you in doing some good out there in this big, beautiful world!

  2. I just had a browse through your blog and also your shop. It sure is easy to fall in love with the spirit of the west. I know I did some 25 years ago and I can’t see life any other way. You sound like my kind of gal. ~M

    • Thank you, Maria ~ you’re very kind. I totally fell in love with the West and know we will return there someday! Thank you so much for reading my posts and visiting my shop ~ I hope that you’ll stop by again and again! Have a beautiful day!
